Rivera Elementary School

Rivera Elementary School was renamed after originally being named Gallego Elementary School. Once the Gallego School was moved to a new location, the SUSD Governing Board approved the name Rivera Elementary School. Named after Rosemarie Rivera, a Sunnyside District alumni who attended Liberty, Apollo, and Sunnyside, served many roles in the District such as a tutor, instructional aide, and teacher.
